Veggies in the Morning, Veggies in the Evening
Veggies All Day! Happy Wednesday folks, hope it’s not too humpy!

From top to bottom:
I started my day with a breakfast salad with arugula, spring mix, and a small carrot dressed with Wasabi-Dijon dressing.
We got an amazing Fresh Picks order today which included two different kinds of parsley plants!
And because of our order, I had a veggie feast for lunch: Ezekiel toast with pine nut hummus, Portabella mushrooms dressed and roasted with balsamic vinegar, and roasted zucchini dusted with coriander.
Today just feels good for some reason…here’s hoping you feel it to!
Fasting as a Cure

I decided to semi-fast today and I think it really helped me chase away my cold.
I kept breakfast small with a Larabar and a full cup of unsweetened almond milk. I decided to skip all snacks and lunch until my evening workouts. I also skipped the medicines because I wanted my body to work on fixing itself.

Happily, our Fresh Picks order arrived today. Fresh Picks delivers fresh from the farm organic produce to your door - I love the varieties and that I can get produce from many high quality and different farms.
Nigel loves the delivery guy and goes nuts with the produce - why do we bother buying him toys when a plastic bag is enough?

This order had some beautiful pears.

And spinach with actual roots! I’ve never seen real spinach plants other than the hyprophonic types.

And Satsuma oranges are finally in season - these little guys always make me smile - oranges with hats! I enjoyed one around 5pm breaking my fast right before my hot yoga class.
I took a C2 hot yoga class today and I was so much stronger than yesterday. It was an awesome class taught workshop style.
I’m off to walk the Nigel Bear and get ready for my evening run! Looking forward to some cuddletime with my boys after. :D
Fresh From the Farm!

The morning started with a bounty from my Irv and Shelly’s Fresh Picks delivery - nice and early! Our home overfloweth with fresh and tasty food! :D

This inappropriate butternut squash was in my order. No, I’m not in third grade, why do you ask? But seriously, isn’t that the longest squash you’ve ever seen?
They also snuck in some fresh apple sauce - wasn’t expecting that!

I’ll be whipping up some Golden Roasted Root Vegetable soup tonight and I’m putting these ugly babies in it!

And behold the entire shelf of Chobani - when the end of the wold comes, please come to my house for Greek yogurt!

Breakfast was yummy now that our fridge is full - a slice of pumpernickel bread broken in two, piled with fresh arugula and a slice of low-fat colby jack cheese. A yummy darling clementine on the side!

I’m hitting the green tea pretty hard because the cold weather runs seem to be causing the sniffles! Oh, did I mention John and I completed the Goofy Challenge recently? :D

The Bullito got into some of the Fresh Picks spinach - now he is in a green coma. I’m meeting John downtown for an errand date and I’m going to surprise him with some of the fruit from our order! Hope you are all having a great day!
