Food is a beautiful thing to me - it means discipline every time I learn a new technique or follow a recipe from top to bottom and it means culture when I think about the South Asian dishes from my childhood.
It means romance because I love the meals I have shared with John and it means being creative with making my vegetarian lifestyle work for my omnivore man of my dreams.
Food reflects where I’ve been and it reflects the many countries I have traveled to.
I believe in health supportive food - food that supports my running but makes me smile as I eat it. I don’t believe in fads, I don’t believe in diets, and I don’t believe in omitting anything unless it causes physical distress (for some gluten or dairy).
Food makes my life vibrant and even healthy food can be sinfully pleasurable.
