Cardio Bunny Weekly Report: Down with the Running Sickness

{Run, Bunny, Run!}
AAAAHHHHH!! 12 more days. Less than two weeks until the Marine Corps Marathon!
Sadly, our little household has had a tough week. I’m supposed to be having a taper week but I was not able to run at all most days - I was achey, feverish, and just didn’t have the run in my legs.
John’s in worse shape - during a long run he completely twisted his knee. It happened suddenly and wasn’t bad at first so he went for another long run. Then, it got bad, really fast. And now he’s on orders not to run at all and of course, he isn’t listening. I am just going to pray and hope his knee will hold up through out the marathon.
I am doing shockingly well on this lovely Monday morning. My cold seems to be in retreat and I have no aches and pains. I had a soft training week with two runs and one hot yoga class only, but happily, I completed my abs routine twice! This means I can have a really strong training week before I go into super taper mode. :)
Here are the stats:
October 10: Rest
October 11: Elliptical, 4 Miles
October 12: Rest
October 13: Run 3.1 Miles, Abs Routine, Light Yoga, bosu jumps.
October 14: Hot Fusion Yoga
October 15: Rest
October 16: Abs 1 Routine, Run 3.1 Miles.
I’m looking forward to an intensive training week!
Here’s the plan:
Monday: 5 miler, Hot Yoga, Abs Routine
Tuesday: 5K, Hot Yoga, Abs Routine
Wednesday: No Run, Hot Yoga, Abs Routine
Thursday: 7 Miler, Hot Yoga, Abs Routine
Friday: Hot Yoga, Abs Routine
