My Races
Welcome to IONLYWEARDRESSES’ Race Reviews.
I have tiny legs, but love long distances! We are aspiring members of the “Marathon in Every State Club” and we run races anywhere from 5K’s to 39.3 miles at Disney.

I love races…And I really love to travel.
I like running races because it is an easy way to keep me on track with my running goals.
I also love big shiny medals.
And I love seeing new places.
So John and I combine both and try to hit up races in other states so we can see a new city the best way we know.

The Hot Chocolate, Chicago, IL; A cute regional 15K that runs a scenic course by Chicago’s Lake front.

The Goofy Challenge at Disney World 2011. A half-marathon and full-marathon run consecutively which for a beginner runner, should feel like an ultra-marathon. The weekend also includes stroller friendly 5K’s and a full-marathon relay where you split the course with a friend. A must-run marathon - fun, walking friendly, a great way to experience Disney, and super organized because the entire corporate power of Disney is thrown behind it. Read my full review here!

A must-run half-marathon if you live in California and San Diego especially, otherwise, not the most exciting half race to travel to. It is part of a three half-marathon series, and there is a gorgeous medal for finishing all three. Also, the race has some hills for hill novices and is perfect for training for a fall marathon with hills. An urban race with scenic views of the bay - running by the water is the best part!
